Film School gave me a crowd of people that enrich my life to this day. It also left me with this short-film, titled  The Modern Man's Guide to Self Esteem, in which many of them participated. I am slightly embarrassed and at the same time, kind of proud of it. It is the only time I stood as Director to a project. There are a million things that I would have done differently, but I can't thing of a single one. In due time you learn to value their virtues and forgive them their flaws, to see them, in the end, as human beings. My grandmother was such a person. There are many days that I wish I could speak to her now that I know a little bit more about the sweet and bitter mix that is living a life. But I cannot. In her final years I often recorded the conversations we had when I visited her. She told many tales.
